Cherry-glazed Party Pie

9 inch baked pastry shell
½ c. sifted confectioners’ sugar
3 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
½ t. vanilla extract
½ t. almond extract
1 c. heavy cream
16 oz. can prepared cherry pie filling

· Blend confectioners’ sugar, cream cheese, vanilla extract, and almond extract in small mixing bowl. Beat until light and fluffy.
· Beat heavy cream until thick. Fold into cream cheese mixture.
· Pour into cooled baked pastry shell. Chill until firm, 30-60 minutes.
· Pour pie filling over chilled filling. Chill until set 2 to 3 hours.
*Can use filling and layer with blue berries or cherries in parfait glasses.
