Mix and let rise 15 minutes:
1 cup plus 2 1/2 Tbls. warm water
2 Tbls yeast
1/3 cup oil
1/4 cup sugar
Add:
1 tsp. salt
3 1/2 c. flour
1 egg, beaten
Mix well and shape immediately into rolls. (You can let them rise in pan before baking, but not necessary.) Bake at 400 degrees about 10 to 12 minutes in greased pan.
For cinnamon rolls, roll out dough, spread softened butter over dough. Sprinkle with brown sugar then cinnamon. Roll up dough. Cut with piece of thread. Bake on cookie sheet (close together) 400 degrees 10-12 minutes.
Frosting glaze:
2 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Beat until smooth.
